How It Works

Vehicles are supplied by Commute with Enterprise at no cost to employees on a month-to-month basis. The cost of fuel is covered by the lease.  Only five or more people are needed to start a new vanpool. Employees must commit to vanpool to work at least two days a week.

Vehicle coverage includes all of the insurance ($1 million liability, $0 deductible comp and collision, $100,000 uninsured motorist), vanpool maintenance and servicing, 24-hour roadside assistance and replacement vans. Employees need to give only 30-day notice to end vanpooling.

There are a variety of van sizes available for any size vanpool group (minimum of 5 people). The typical starter vanpool is a 7-passenger minivan, moving up to 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 15-passenger vans.

Steps to Start a Vanpool – It’s Easy!

  • Identify four employees making the same commute (or the Centene Commuter Concierge, for help if you can’t identify five on your own)
  • Determine a route and coordinate work hours for the group (arrival and departure times)
  • Identify who will be the Vanpool Coordinator – the main contact for your vanpool group and Enterprise Rideshare. The coordinator signs the agreement application with Commute with Enterprise but is not financially responsible for the vanpool.
  • Identify a primary driver and two back-up drivers.
  • Complete the driver/coordinator application agreement with Commute with Enterprise
  • Complete the Centene Vanpool Parking Permit Registration
  • Schedule delivery of your van and begin vanpooling to work!
  • Pick up parking permit from the security desk.
